The emphasis is on the most necessary things that will save time. The tools work both with assets in the content browser and with actors on scene.

!!! “Replace“, “Spawn by Socket” and “Multi SM Materials” do not work for engine versions below 5.1.

  1. Replace – Substitute part of the text in the names of selected actors or assets.

  2. Fast Rename – Quickly rename the selected group of assets/actors with a single click. Only the initial index is specified.

  3. Sub T Rename – Automatically renames the selected group of textures imported from Substance 3D Painter with Unreal Engine preset, such as BaseColor, Normal, Emissive, OcclusionRoughnessMetallic, and unchecks sRGB for Emissive and OcclusionRoughnessMetallic. You only need to enter the name, all prefixes and other settings will be applied automatically.

  4. Add Prefix – Adds prefixes to the selected group of assets/actors.

  5. Add Postfix – Adds postfixes to the selected group of assets/actors.

  6. Set SM Material – Sets one material to a group of assets in the specified slot. (quick material setup for multiple static meshes).

  7. Multi SM Materials – Allows setting different materials to static meshes in the tool window without the need to open each asset separately.

  8. Spawn by Socket – You can add sockets to your static meshes and fill the scene with necessary objects with a single click. (example shown in video)
